Treatment Resources

​With the developmental and behavioral pediatrics expertise at The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, you have access to the latest, most comprehensive treatment resources and interventions, including: 

  • Prenatal consultations for parents who have received a diagnosis of developmental issues before their child’s birth
  • Genetic counseling 
  • Outpatient follow-up of extremely premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) to ensure the earliest, most appropriate interventions
  • Parent education and training in strategies to manage their child’s developmental and/or behavioral issues
  • Cognitive-behavioral and family therapies
  • Helping children to develop self-monitoring/self-management strategies
  • Developing motivation and consequence systems/programs to help modify behavior
  • Medication management
  • Potty University, an outpatient program for children with enuresis (bedwetting)
  • Referral to appropriate specialty treatment services within The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and/or the community
  • Regular consultations with a child’s pediatrician and other healthcare providers to ensure the most efficient, effective and coordinated care
