What is Children's Miracle Network Hospitals?
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a national charity that has grown dramatically since its founding in 1983 from a televised fundraiser in a small studio to one of North America's leading children’s charities.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals was founded with two simple goals:CMNHospitalslogo_color150w.jpg
1. Help as many children as possible by raising funds for children’s hospitals.
2. Keep funds in the community in which they were raised to help local children.

The organization was founded by Marie Osmond and her family, John Schneider, Mick Shannon and Joe Lake.

The most recognizable symbol of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and its greatest fundraising tool, is its red and yellow Miracle Balloon icon.

As of 2011, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $4.7 billion, most of which is donated a dollar or two at a time.

Its Partnership with The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals first partnered with the Pediatric Department at Maine Medical Center (what is now The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital) in 1989 by organizing the hospital’s first Telethon. The Telethon was aired on WGME 13 and raised $29,683. 100% of the funds raised stayed local to benefit families from Maine and northern New England cared for at Maine Medical Center.

Hats off to you!
Since that time, this partnership, its sponsors, programs and supporters has raised more than $11 million for The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. These funds were used to pay for life-saving programs and equipment, charity care and cutting-edge research.
